Emergencies
Are you really available 24 hours a day?
Yes. Emergency Plumber London is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week, including weekends and bank holidays. Call 07718 185128 at any time and you will speak to us about the problem, the price band for that time of day and when an engineer can reach you.
What counts as a plumbing emergency?
Anything that is causing damage now or leaves you without essential services: a burst pipe, water coming through a ceiling, flooding, a blocked toilet when it is your only one, no heating in cold weather or no hot water for a vulnerable person. If you are unsure, call and we will tell you honestly.
What should I do while I wait for the plumber?
Turn off the water at the stopcock, usually under the kitchen sink. If water is near sockets or lights, switch off the electricity at the consumer unit if it is safe to reach. Open cold taps to drain the system, move valuables away and take photos for your insurer.
Which areas of London do you cover?
We cover all 32 London boroughs and the City of London, from our office on Regent Street, W1. That includes central, north, west, south and east London. We have dedicated pages for Westminster, Camden, Islington, Haringey, Barnet, Kensington, Chelsea, Fulham, Hammersmith and Ealing.
Prices
How much does an emergency plumber cost in London?
Our published attendance rates are £150 on weekdays from 8am to 5pm, £180 on weekday evenings until 10pm and Saturday daytime, and £200 on Sunday daytime. Nights and weekend evenings are priced on the phone. All prices include VAT, and common jobs have published price ranges.
How are your prices calculated?
We charge a minimum of one hour, then in 30-minute increments. Prices depend on the time of day you need us and the work involved. Common jobs have published ranges — for example a burst pipe repair is £50–£140 and a mixer tap replacement £150–£300, including VAT.
Do you give free quotes?
Yes. Planned work such as bathroom installations, boiler replacements and pipework upgrades is quoted for free with no obligation. For emergencies we tell you the attendance rate before we set off, and the engineer confirms the price of the repair before any work starts.
How can I pay?
We accept debit and credit cards and BACS bank transfer. To secure a booking, our customer service team may take payment before the work begins. You will always know the price first. We are a VAT-registered limited company and every invoice shows VAT at the standard rate.
Our service
Do you do small jobs like a dripping tap?
Yes. We are happy to take on small jobs as well as large ones — dripping taps, running toilets, seized stopcocks and appliance connections included. Small jobs are charged at our standard rates with a one-hour minimum, so it can be worth listing any other small jobs for the same visit.
Do you guarantee your work?
Yes. We guarantee our workmanship and the parts we supply. If something we fixed is not right, call us and we will come back to put it right. Boiler installations carry a 2 to 5 year parts and labour guarantee, depending on the boiler model, confirmed in writing in your quote.
Do you work for landlords, agents and businesses?
Yes. We attend on behalf of landlords and letting agents, arrange access with tenants and can organise annual landlord gas safety checks. We also look after restaurants, cafés, pubs, hotels, shops and offices, and can work outside trading hours to avoid disruption.
Gas & heating
Are your engineers Gas Safe registered?
All gas work is carried out by Gas Safe registered engineers — we sub-contract our gas work to registered engineers. Always ask to see the Gas Safe ID card before any gas work starts. It shows the engineer’s photo, licence number and the types of gas work they are qualified to do.
What should I do if I smell gas?
Leave the property, do not use light switches or naked flames, open doors and windows if it is safe, and turn off the gas at the meter if you can. Then call the National Gas Emergency Service free on 0800 111 999. Once it is made safe, we can arrange the repair.
Which boiler brands do you repair?
We repair all major domestic and commercial boiler brands, including Vaillant, Worcester Bosch, Baxi, Ideal, Viessmann, Vokera, Glow-worm, Potterton, Ariston, Alpha, Ferroli, Keston, Biasi, Saunier Duval, Heatline and Grant. Most faults are fixed on the first visit if the part is available.
