If your boiler stops working, first check the pressure gauge (normally 1–1.5 bar when cold), the thermostat and timer, and whether the condensate pipe outside has frozen. If it still will not fire, call 07718 185128. Gas work is carried out by Gas Safe registered engineers.

Boiler repair: your questions answered
What pressure should my boiler be?
Most combi boilers should read between 1 and 1.5 bar when the heating is cold, rising a little when it is hot. Below 1 bar the boiler may lock out; you can usually re-pressurise it with the filling loop — check your manual.
My condensate pipe has frozen — what can I do?
Pour warm (not boiling) water along the outside section of the white plastic pipe, then reset the boiler. If it keeps happening, the pipe may need re-routing or insulating.
